Forté DPF Cleaner and Regenerator Forte cleaners, often used by professionals in fuel and exhaust systems, typically contain a mix of powerful solvents and detergents. These include potassium hydroxide (a strong alkali) which breaks down heavy carbon, soot, and oil-based deposits. It may also contain 2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethanol, a solvent that dissolves grease and resinous build-up effectively. In addition, phosphate-based compounds and non-ionic surfactants help loosen particles and clean metal surfaces. These ingredients work together to clean injectors, DPFs, EGR valves, and turbochargers. However, they’re corrosive and require proper handling—gloves, eye protection, and ventilation are essential. While effective, Forte products are not meant for casual use and are generally used by trained technicians who understand the chemical strength and application method. Always follow manufacturer guidance strictly to avoid engine damage or health risks.
